Accessibility

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION SHOULD ANSWER QUESTIONS REGARDING ACCESSIBILITY AT ELECTRIC FOREST FESTIVAL. CONTACT ACCESS@ELECTRICFORESTFESTIVAL.COM WITH ANY ADDITIONAL NEEDS OR FURTHER QUESTIONS.

Accessibility (ADA) Information

FESTIVAL GROUNDS

Electric Forest takes place on a gorgeous site and, as in any outdoor setting, the grounds have various types of terrain. At EF that includes sandy pathways, dirt roads, grassy fields, and of course the incredible Sherwood Forest. The festival site is reasonably flat with a few small rolling hills. The distance between Camp Access, the accessible camping area, and the closest stage is about 150 yards. The farthest stage is about half of a mile away from Camp Access. Please understand that the Electric Forest site is very large, and plan accordingly. The distances between different stages and areas in the festival grounds can be very large. As with any outdoor setting, rain can impact the conditions.

ACCESS TENT

Access Tent hours are from 11 AM until 11 PM Eastern.

The Access Tent is where guests with disabilities can get information and request services. It will be located within Camp Access. This is also the designated area for recharging wheelchairs, scooters, and other medical devices. Remember, guests use this power at their own risk, and Electric Forest is not responsible for any personal equipment or any personal items left in the Access Tent. Absolutely no smoking in the Access Tent.

The Access Tent is located in the campgrounds, adjacent to ADA camping (listed on festival camping map as Camp Access) South of the Tripolee stage.

ENTERING THE FESTIVAL

For cars: All disabled patrons will enter using the right side lanes at the south entrance off Winston Road. Please use the right lane! Only one companion car is allowed. Companion cars must arrive together. No spaces are saved for a later arrival.

Staff will manage the viewing platform accordingly to make sure all patrons are comfortable during busy times. There is absolutely no smoking on the viewing platforms.

GOLF CARTS

Golf carts will be available to transport patrons with mobility impairments. Golf carts operate each day from when the gates open until 3 AM Eastern. Golf carts travel to and from Camp Access and the viewing platforms. Service Animals - Definition, Policies, & Procedures

Electric Forest welcomes and supports the rights and attendance of all persons with disabilities that rely on the special skills of a trained service animal.

What we DO NOT support, and will not tolerate, are pets being misrepresented by their owners as service animals. Please leave your pet at home.

SERVICE ANIMAL DEFINITION

A ‘service animal’ is defined as “any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. The work or tasks performed by a service animal must be directly related to the handler’s disability.”

Emotional support or comfort animals are not considered service animals under the ADA and therefore are not allowed at Electric Forest.

Please note that all service dogs, including those from out of state are subject to local dog ordinances, which includes a valid rabies certificate.

SERVICE ANIMAL POLICIES

For patrons with disabilities who wish to bring their legitimate service animal to Electric Forest, HQ asks that you review and follow the policies outlined below:

  • Service animals must be accompanied by the handler with the disability at all times.
  • Service animals must be under the control and supervision of their handler at all times.
  • Service animals are not permitted to be left unattended under any circumstances.
  • Handlers are required to be prepared for, and clean-up after, their animals at all times.
  • We reserve the right to remove and/or refuse access to any service animal from the campgrounds or venue if that animal is deemed to be a health or safety threat to festival patrons, staff, or other service animals, or in violation of these policies.
  • All service animals must be credentialed by the Electric Forest staff (see the procedures below).
SERVICE ANIMAL PROCEDURES

All patrons with disabilities attending Electric Forest this year with a service animal will need to have that animal credentialed by Electric Forest staff before entering the main gate. This process will be performed quickly and respectfully by Accessibility Staff.

Upon arrival at Electric Forest, come to the Access Tent in the front of Camp Access. Staff will speak with you, record your contact information, and provide a collar tag for your service animal. Security/Staff will be on the lookout for all animals to have a properly credentialed Electric Forest collar tag.

Remember, service animals are allowed, all other dogs are not!
